Super precision angular contact ball bearing for high rotational speed
SKF-SNFA ready-to-mount sealed super-precision angular contact ball bearings in the S719 .. B (HB .. /S) and S70 .. B (HX .. /S) series are characterized by high-speed capability, high stiffness, extended bearing service life, low heat generation and compact cross section.
Machine tool design is becoming increasingly complex, particularly for multiple axis machining centres. SKF-SNFA sealed super-precision provide optimum performance in applications where there is a need for high reliability and superior accuracy.
The bearings are filled with high-speed grease. Non-contact seals keep the grease in and contaminants out of the bearings, with the lowest possible temperature rise and without compromising speed capability. These relubrication-free bearings are particularly suitable for metal cutting and woodworking machines.
Bearings without seals, also for grease or oil lubrication are available. To facilitate direct oil lubrication, the outer ring of open bearings can also be manufactured with an annular groove and two lubrication holes as well as two annular grooves to accommodate O-rings. This bearing variant is identified by the designation suffix L.
To accommodate the diverse operating requirements of precision applications, bearings in these series are available with three contact angles (15° and 25° as standard, 18° on request) and two ball materials (steel or ceramic).
The bearings are manufactured to two tolerance classes (P4A or PA9A) and accommodate shaft diameters ranging from 30 to 120 mm. Those suitable for universal matching or mounting in sets are produced to three preload classes (light, moderate or heavy).
